The diabolic tentacles in Dadri have forced yet another litterateur to return the coveted award. She is none other than Niropama Borgohain who is all set to return the Sahitya Akademy award she received in 1996 for her novel Abhijatri.
She took the decision hours after Homen Borgohain confirmed the return of the award joining the award winning authors’ chorus against the incident in Dadri where prime minister Narendra Modi maintains stoic silence.

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Wednesday ordered a thorough judicial probe into the poll related incidents in Goalpara. The judicial panel will find out if the protests against the elections were instigated. Talking to reporters in Guwahati on Wednesday, he said that violence took place in 22 places.
