BJP takes out protest in Golaghat

Hundreds of BJP leaders and workers hit the streets in Golaghat on Friday alleging utter misgovernance and cancerous corruption in public life in the entire state. Led by Mrinal Kumar Saikia, party activists in Kathalguri joined by the Golaghat District Committee came out to the streets shouting slogans against the government. 

Talking to reporters Saikia said that corruption and mis governance have crippled the public life during the 15 year regime of the Tarun Gogoi government. He further lunched scathing attack on cultural affairs minister and Khumtai MLA Bismita Gogoi for allowing to corruption to grip the public life. 

Local BJP leader Pranab Gogoi urged the people to go all out against the ruling Congress who has been resorting to lungi and sari politics to grab the power for the fourth consecutive term.

Yet another political party is coming up to beat Congress and BJP 6 months before the assembly polls. Named as the Asom Khilanjiya Manch, the party on Monday disclosed its poll blueprint with 30 candidates. A Class ten student of Golaghat Jatiya Vidyalaya has secured first position in a state level essay competition. Puja Saikia, daughter of Ghanshyam Saikia and Swapn a Bora of Balijan appeared in an essay competition organised by the Education Department of Assam and SEBA.
