Thumps up Itanagar police
The Arunachal Pradesh police claimed to have caught ten dreaded criminals during an operation in Itanagar on Thursday. Acting on tip off recently the capital city police arrested these notorious criminals and seized huge haul of arms and ammunition, mobile phones, SIM cards and some cash from their possession.
They were believed to have been planning to accomplish a bank robbery in the state. Acting on a specific input on Thursday, led by SP of capital complex Devendra Arya, a police team comprising Itanagar SDPO, Techi Henyir along with his Naharlagun counterpart Jummar, Basar sub inspectors Techi Nega Karbom Tao conducted a raid where the gang was caught red handed.
Identified as Aftab Sheikh, Bamang Rokpu, Tamchi Ponung and Tamchi Natung, Hiba , Hiba Siku, Hiba Changriang, they are being interrogated. Police further have seized, one .22 Bore Pistol, one .32 Bore Revolver, five 7.55 bore Pistol, one Air Pistol, eight Magazines, 48 rounds .22 live Ammo,25 rounds 7.65mm Live Ammo, six unused SIM cards, stolen Bike, one car with cash of Rs 5280 etc.from their possession.
Home minister Tanga Byaling thanked the police team for successfully cracking the case. He also awarded commendation certificates to the police personnel.

The Arunachal Pradesh government on Tuesday released Rs 28.93 crore as state share against the various centrally sponsored schemes to boost the health and education sectors. According to government sources, the amount includes Rs 2363.80 lakh under the Sarba Sikhya Abhiyan, Rs 343.21 lakh under RMSA, Rs. 124.00 lakh under NRHM, Rs 42.75 lakh under RUSA and Rs 19.10 lakh under AYUSH.The state cabinet decided to release state the amount in a time bound manner for smooth implementation of schemes. Both the departments would have to implement the schemes and to submit the utilization certificates.
The Arunachal Pradesh governor JP Rajkhowa urged the youth communities to carry forward the crusade against the growing menace in the north eastern state. Flood situation in the Namsai district of Arunachal Pradesh is in grim situation due to incessant rain for the last couple of weeks.
