The annual award of stipends of the Kamala Bazboruah Memorial Trust (KBMT) was held at the Office of the Directorate of Employment & craftsman training in Guwahati on Tuesday.
All together 66 trainees were selected this year to receive the KBMT awards from different ITI’s of Assam. The selection of trainees who receive the award every year was made by the Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen Training, Assam after conducting a test.
The objective of the financial incentives to selected trainees was outlined by S.N. Phukan, Managing Trustee. The award was instituted in 2008 as per will of late Amala Bezboruah, who bequeathed her entire property to the Trust in the name of her mother, late Kamala Bezboruah.
The Function was attended by senior Officials of the Directorate, awardees and a host of other invited guests.

The forum of nationalist citizens argues that LNB road should be reorganised for daily use by the commuters as well as heavy vehicles approaching the Reserve Bank of India office, Army Transit Camp and the busiest railway station of the region.
