14 pilgrims dead; Assam pilgrim critical

Nine Haj pilgrims from Assam sustained serious injury at the Mecca stamped on Thursday. Identified as Jahanur Begum, she as been battling for life at the Al Jadid Hospital. This was stated by the ministry of external affairs in New Delhi.

Four other pilgrim hailing from Karimganj district are believed to have been battling for life at the hospital. Details are awaited.
