Curious UFO in sky!

An unidentified object hovering around the sky in upper Assam pulled no less spell of curiosity among lakhs of people on Wednesday evening.

Much to the utter surprise and curiosity, the comet like object was spotted in the sky in and around the Naharkatiya area at around 9 in the evening forcing the people to come out of their homes to watch the strange objects. But there was no conclusion even from the experts.

The same object struck the heavy attention of the people in Dibrugarh district on Tuesday night.

 

Meanwhile, ISRO officials in Shillong told Assam Times that they were not aware of such objects in the sky. But they said if it is spotted it might be drones.

whether ISRO or NASA they will never confess that ufos are of extraterrestrial origin...i have witnessed an ufo from the front yard of my house in jorhat,assam, india on 23rd june 2015...the ufo hovered for about 40mins and finally shot off at lightning speed into the night sky..it can travel at the blink of an eye and i dont think that a drone has that technology...if drones can accelerate at lightning speed then we sud able to go for interstellar travel sitting in a drone itself..whatever i saw was nothing made on earth..nothing made om earth has technology to accelerate away and shot off at the speed of lightning

Yes. I live in dibrugarh 2days after this event i saw a ufo around 8pm while i was talking to my friend on phone suddenly i heard a loud noise and the phone's signal was lost.my frined too heard ths noise. I looked up and i saw a big ufo with purple light hovering on top of me. I quickly went inside and called my mom and sister. When they came it went away in a lighting size and became like a star but was moving very fast. My friend also saw the ufo

Beware of bomb blast

Beware Guwahatians. Ulfa's Paresh Barua faction plans to blow up Guwahati. According to sources available with the government, a group of dreaded Ulfa militants has sneaked into the city with a plan to strike with a car bomb. The militants are believed to have used a black car to explode the powerful explosition. Police have beefed up security to thwart the attempt.

Poachers killed in encounter

Two poachers were killed and three others have been injured at an encounter in Kaziranga on Wednesday. The encounter took place in the Agaratali range in the wee hours. A gang of poachers started indiscriminate firing as they faced the forest guards patrolling on the spot. When the forest guards retaliated with firing, two poachers were killed on the spot. Two others managed to escape.

Major help for wage earners

The Assam government on Tuesday increased rate of wages, holidays, hours of work and conditions of skilled and unskilled workmen employed by contractors.As per the revision the rate of wages of an unskilled workmen with ITI Certificate will be Rs 277 per day, skilled workmen other than ITI Certificate holder will be paid Rs 175 and unskilled workmen Rs 169 per day.The rate of wages has been fixed in such a manner that no skilled workman gets less than the stipulated amount for working for a maximum 8 hours a day and no unskilled workmen gets less than Rs 169 per day.In case of overtime work, the wages will be twice the ordinary rate of wages for every work in excess of 8 hours a day and 48...

No tobacco please!

Dispur is all set to ban tobacco. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has asked the health department to table a bill in the assembly banning all kinds of tobacco products including smokeless tobacco. A legislation would be tabled in the assembly soon.Health minister Dr Himanta Biswa Saram said that the government felt it necessary to ban all tobacco products, including smokeless tobacco products.The instruction assumes significance as oral cancer is on the rise in the state and is caused mainly due to consumption of tobacco products.

Assembly begins budget session

The Assam assembly began its budget session on a stormy note on Monday. Governor Janki Ballav Patnaik opened the month long session with his customary speech. As the governor rose to deliver the speech, opposition members stood up resulting in an uproarious situation on the floor. Amid deafening din, the governor stopped his speech and left the assembly.

Elephant carcass found in Jorhat

Much to the utter disappointment of the nature lovers, the carcass of an elephant calf was found in Hollongapar Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary in Jorhat district on Sunday.The female elephant, suspected to have been poisoned, was found in Koliapani range of the sanctuary by forest guards on patrol.A postmortem would be conducted to ascertain the cause of the elephant's death.

Two rhino poachers arrested

Two poachers who are suspected to be involved in the recent rhino poaching in Kaziranga National Park, have been arrested during a joint operation by police and forest department in Sonitpur district on Sunday.Police and forest department officials, nabbed the duo from North Bank of Brahmaputra at Bishwanath Ghat.They have been identified as Aamir Islam and Moina Das and were suspected to be involved in the recent killing of rhinos and removal of horns in the park.
