A cadre of the NDFB-S was apprehanded by security forces at an operation raided from Selekhaguri area under Serfanguri PS of Kokrajhar district this morning. 

A joint team of security forces belonging to Police, Army and CRPF Cobra battalion manage to arrest a cadre of the militant outfit organization this morning around 5.30 am from Selekhaguri in Kokrajhar district. 

The arrested cadre was identified as Debo Boro, 36; of Selekhaguri m who has been involved with outfit organisation since many years.

A 7.65 pistol (factory made), an Air Gun, two live bullets, two combat dress, two mobile handset and three CDs were recovered from him.

Police arrested 12 persons from Baksa and Kokrajhar district on Saturday for involving election related incidents.Eight persons including 5 minor students and three ABSU members last late evening from Nikashi area in Baksa district of Assam.According to sources police picked up Sonam Boro, 17(class 11), Raja Narzary, 15, (class X), Ajay Ramchiary, 15 (class X), Daoharu Boro, 18(class 12 and Rupul Ramchiary, 17 (class 11). A person identified as Faijal Ali of Chengnala was shot at by unidentified armed miscreants this morning around 8.30 am under Dotma police station in Kokrajhar.According to villagers of the Chengnala armed unidentified miscreants fired Ali this morning at his home when he was taking morning breakfast and received bullet injury on his mouth. He was immediately rushed to Kokrajhar Rup Nath Brahma civil Hospital.Ali was supporter of Independent candidate Urkhao Gwra Brahma to the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency. Unidentified miscreants torched the election office of the BPF candidate Chandan Brahma late last night at Gargaon under Bijni LAC in Chirang of No. 5 Kokrajhar Lok Sabha Constituency.BPF accused of that BPPF and supporters of the Independent candidate Urkhao Gwra Brahma were involved with the incident of Gargaon late last night.
