Modi's effigy burnt

Members from Sadou Assam Goria Maria Deshi Jatiya Parsishad protested the decision of the union government to accord citizenship right to Hindu migrants from Bangladesh and burnt effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Baruapara in Kokrajhar district on Thursday. 

The parishad strongly objected and demanded early stop of decision to grant entry and stay right to Hindu migrants in Assam from Bangladesh.

The illegal migrants of Bangladesh irrespective of religion should be sent back to their country. There is no place for Hindu Bangladeshi or Muslim Bangladeshi in Assam.

Accolade for Rabiram Brahma

The BTC administration confered Jwhwlao Nileswar Brahma award to renowned sculptor and artiste Rabiram Brahma hailed from Udalguri district on 13th Bodoland Day celebration on Tuesday in Kokrajhar. The award carries a momento, citation, aronai and cash rupees 2 lakh.Noted educationist and retired professor Guns war Basumatary from Gossaigaon  was also conferred Promod Chandra Brahma literary award.The award comprises of a citation, momento, aronai and cash rupees 2 lakh. The council also felicitated the personalities who have achieved good performances on various fields like sports, sahitya academy awardees on the occasion.

Bodoland day

The BTC administration is celebrating today 13th Bodoland day at BTC secretariat ground to mark the historic Bodo Accord that was signed in a tripartite peace talk centre, state and the then BT leaders and created BTC under sixth schedule on February 10,2003. Bodo artiste conference begins

 The 7th annual convention of all bodo artiste association begins from Saturday at Jwhwlao Swmbla Basumatary Fwtar, Goibari with two day programmes Chirang district. TET stages dharna

Bodoland house at Kolkata

BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary on Wednesday inaugurated newly constructed Bodoland House at Rajarhat New Town in Kolkata in the presence of huge gathering. The house constructed at CF-24(03-178) Action Area located at Rajarhat New Town in Kolkata with an amounting of 55.33 crores of BTC package. It is the third house constructed under BTC administration to facilitate peoples from region in the city.

RTI training programme

A district level training programme for SPIO (State Public Information Officer) and FAAs (First Appellate Authority) on RTI Act was held at Kokrajhar District Deputy Commissioner office Conference hall, district on Thursday. Organized by the Kokrajhar district administration, Kokrajhar deputy commissioner Thaneswar Malakar inaugurated the programme. All the heads of the departments including the designated officials for RTI purpose in various departments under Kokrajhar district participated in the training programme.  

Archery Coaching Camp starts at Puthimari

The opening ceremony of ‘Archery Coaching Camp-2015’ was held at Puthimari village in Kokrajhar on Sunday.BTC Executive member Mono Kumar Brahma inaugurated the ceremony amidst large number of local people and sports personalities.Motilal Borgoyary, Sub-divisional Sports Officer, President Hungkha Mashahary and General Secretary Balen Ch.
