Churachandpur toll mounts

Yet another person died on Monday a week after he sustained burn injury in the orgy of Churachandpur violence.
The Joint Action Committee, a conglomeration of many civil society organizations announced relaxation of curfew in the vulnerable areas from morning 5 to 12 noon on Tuesday.

They have been enforcing the curfew to thwart any possible mob attack. It would be marked by another bandh call for 60 hours in the entire restive hills areas demanding resignation of the remaining trial MLAs by the next ten days and immediate withdrawal of the bills which have yet to be prorogued.
