Ray of respite for kidney patients

Good news for kidney patients from from Sivasagar, Jorhat, Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Dhemaji and Lakhimpur districts.  Courtesy the Assam government. Medicines are available at the Assam Medicine College Hospital for the patients.

Any patient from these districts are free to collect their medicines from AMCH from 11 morning to 1-30 in the afternoon on every Tuesday. The patients can contact the All Assam Kidney Transplant Forum for identity card required to avail of the benefit.

The forum will discuss the difficulties faced by the kidney patients at 11 in the morning on September 15 in front of the medicine stores.

A six year old boy in Nazira is battling for life at the Assam Medical College Hospital in Dibrugarh after he was hit by a car on which civil SDO was travelling on Friday.The incident where Abonit Sahu sustained injury took place at Nazira town in the morning when he was trying to cross the road to be hit by the car bearing No AS 04 L 0004 owned by the senior administrative officer.
Noted historian and leading citizen in Nazira Akhil Paniphukan passed away on Friday. The end of the 90 year old Paniphukan came in the wee hours at his own residence in Nazira town. ONGC will start its state-of-the-art hospital in Rajabari in December this year.This was what AASU told reporters in Nazira after a meeting with the oil major officials on Thursday.ONGC officials further agreed to implement other promises in the meeting with AASU leaders in Jorhat.
