UPP gets more strength

In a move that can change the political equation in BTAD senior BPF leader Ranjit Kherkhatari formally joined the United People's Party with many supporters at a programme at Salbari in Baksa on Tuesday.

UPP vice president and BTC member Rwngwra Narzary welcomed the former BTC member from 21-Salbari constituency and his supporters.

Three people are believed to have been killed in the name of witch-hunting in Kokrajhar.The incident took place on Thursday in Mongoljhar where the three people including a woman have been remaining untraced for the last 48 hours.Acting on the complaints, police have picked up 11 villagers on Saturday morning.
