Unprecedented flood havoc in Dibrugarh

Flood water wreaks unprecedented havoc in Dibrugarh where the entire town has been submerged on Monday following the incessant rains during the last couple of days.

The river Brahmaputra is flowing above the danger level where the surging waters have spilled into all the roads and lanes disrupting the surface communication in the entire town. 

The flood waters have forced DC and SP to take shelter in the circuit house on Sunday. Union sports minister Sarbananda Sonowal’s residence along with MLA Prasanta Phukan’s residence has come under the surging waters of the mighty rivers.

The scene would be more grave if the rains refuse to halt.  The Mohanbari airport authority has rescheduled timings apprehending flood on the runway.
