The Congress legislative body has cancelled it meeting slated for September 2. The decision was taken when a section of cabinet ministers and MLAs met chief minister Tarun Gogoi at his official residence in Koindhara on Saturday evening.
Earlier, the party legislators decided to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the post-Himanta exit situation on August 29 to be rescheduled to September 2. But it has been cancelled.
The cabinet ministers further apprised the chief minister of their measures to implement the various schemes.
Gogoi asked them to expedite the implementation process to ensure that these can percolate benefit for the people.
