Use photography as medium for change

Photography can act as a medium for change. It is a strong voice of the people. Photography exhibitions can create awareness among various sections of the society in this regard,’ said the Vice Chancellor of Cotton College State University, Dr Dhrubajyoti Saikia, inaugurating ‘Imageind-2015’ - Photography exhibition and workshop at the Don Bosco School, Guwahati today, 21st August 2015.

The Department of Mass Communication, Assam Don Bosco University, Azara, organized the Imageind-2015 – photography for a cause event in association with Sony India and Mediahype.

The 3-day event comprises of national open photography competition, exhibition and workshop open to all.

The Vice Chancellor of Cotton College University inaugurated the event organized by the Department of Mass Communication, Assam Don Bosco University in association with Sony India and Mediahype. Christened “Imageind 2015 - photography for a cause” the event had nationwide competition open to both photography enthusiasts and professionals.

“The nationwide response to the first photography competition was phenomenal,” said Imageind chairman Salesian Fr C.M. Paul explaining the three categories of the competition, namely environment pollution, women and children, and livelihoods.
