Assams Lakhimpur District. Around 10,000 illegal Bagladeshi immigrants moved out of Arunachal Pradesh today and landed in Assam. The move is widely supported by the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
The Government of Assam has not commented on this till now. It is felt in Lakhimpur that the Goverment will only keep silent on the issue and Lakhimpur will be hard pressed to deal with this problem.

At this rate, one day whole of NE will become a part of Bangladesh. Assam and North Bengal are the ones which are hit badly by the influx of Bangladeshis. Soon, the indigeneous people of Assam and North Bengal would be in minority.

Tinsukia: Army operating in Tinsukia district escaped a major bid when suspected ULFA militants tried to blow up a powerful grenade on a convoy but missed the target narrowly. Army’s 6 Jammu Kashmir Rifle’s troops were on petrol when this incident occurred. The incident occurred near Bordubi Tea Estate under Domdooma police station in Tinsukia District at 11:30PM on Thursday. Later when Army retaliated one ULFA militant was killed on the spot The deceased ULFA cadre was identified as Kumud Borah alias Jayant Moran alias Gandia of Nalani village in Tinsukia. Doomdooma : Suspected ULFA militants killed a SULFA man Pranab Moran at Kerani Gaon near Kardoiguri, under Domdooma police station at 9.30 PM on Wednesday according to police sources. A group of two to three youths came to the grocery shop owned by Pranab just as he was about to sleep. The youths knocked on the door and asked for a packet of bread. When he opened the door to give them the packet they fired on him and flew away. Military personal stationed nearby rushed to the spot after they heard firing and brought him to the local hospital. Guwahati : There has been a bomb blast at Hengerabari near Dispur capital complex at 3.25 PM on Wednesday.Police say that three persons have been injured in this blast. Lakhipur ( Cachar ) : Suspected Dimasa militants had killed three innocent civilians at Hari Nagar under Lakhipur police station in Cachar district on Tuesday evening. According to the police a group of 12/13 armed youths had entered the Bazaar at about 8.30 PM and opened fire indiscriminately. Three people were killed and several others were injured. Guwahati : Two star boxers of the state Kalpana Choudury and Pranamika Bora had been awarded cash incentive by the central government for their magnificent performance in the international meets.
