Growing demand for CBI probe

A citizens’ meet in Guwahati on Sunday demanded CBI probe into the Louis Berger bribery scam where a section of ministers and officers were alleged to have received bribe from a foreign firm for a water supply project in the city.

 Prominent speakers in the meeting demanded that the role of a section of powerful ministers and officers should be brought under the purview of the investigation to unearth the truth behind the multi crore bribery scam.
