Flood wreaks havoc in Kokrajhar

Flood waters in Kokrajhar wreaked no less havoc submerging a huge area in the district on Sunday. Much to the panic of the hundreds of local residents, the surging waters of the river Champamoti have engulfed the Karigaon police outpost.

The water level is still on the rise posing a serious threat to more and more areas of the BTAD district.

The situation is set to take a grim turn if the rains refuse to halt on the foothills of Bhutan.

The policemen have no option but to shift to the safer places in the district.
