Wild elephant crushed to death by train

A full grown elephant was crushed to death when a passenger train rammed into two wild elephants in Sonitpur district on Monday.
The tragic incident took place at Nagapathar in Rangapara area where Dekargaon-New Jalpaiguri passenger rammed into the herd of elephants when they were crossed the rail tracks in the wee hours.

Local residents found the animal while the injured elephant is still believed to have been hiding in the nearby hillside.
