AKRSU threatens to ban BJP

BJP seems to have landed in trouble at least in the Koch Rajbangshi-dominated areas. The Biswajit Roy faction of the All Koch-Rajbongshi Students Union has threatened to ban BJP if it fails to ensure ST status for the ethnic community before the assembly polls.

The student body has chalked out a series of agitation from August 5 in protest against the failure to ensure the ST status.

Addressing a press conference in Kokrajhar on Sunday, the leaders of the student organization said they are fully prepared to launch BJP hatao campaign if the Centre fails to keep its promises.
