Amid relief and rescue operation, NDRF jawans are pounding on Chandel on Sunday morning a day after at least 20 people died in a massive landslip on Saturday.
NDRF team arrived in the remote area in Manipur bordering Myanmar after the direction from Union home minister Rajnath Singh who assured Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh of all help to contain the situation.
Union minister of state for home Rijiju is scheduled to visit the landslip-hit area on Monday to take stock of the situation.
At least 20 people were killed in the landslide at Zoumoal village under Khangbarol sub-division on Saturday.
