Workshop concludes

A five days expert meeting and workshop on the preparation of trilingual scientific and technical terminology in Chemistry and Linguistic in Bodo was concluded here at Bodoland University in Kokrajhar on Wednesday. 

The workshop was organised Bodo sahitya sabha in association with Centre for Bodo Studies, Bodoland University under the sponsorship of Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology (CSTT), Mnistry of HRD, Govt of India. 

Altogether nine expert and linguistics from various, school, college and universities took part in the workshop and shared different terms of linguistic words of terminology in Chemistry and Linguistic in Bodo. 

Dr Prem Narayan Sukla, assistant director of CSTT addressing the reporters on Wednesday on the occasion of closing ceremony of the workshop said thatthe workshop discussed on the scientific nd technical terms in Chemistry and Linguistic in Bodo as sp far 18000 words in Chemistry and 6 500 words in linguistic have been completed in Bodo language. He has told that the commission has already 13 bilingual (English -Bodo) glossaries in various fields like economic, geography, education, mathematic, geology, commerce, sociology, computer science, archeology and political science. The comission has been taking step to publish more glossaries in trilingual in various fields including Zoology, Physics, Administrative terms and Botany in coming days, he added. 

Bisweswar Basumatary, vice president of the Bodo sahitya sabha said that the sabha has organic the workshop to prepare trilingual scientific and terminology in Chemistry and Linguistic in Bodo.He said that the workshop was fruitfulness to the preparation of the scientific and terminology which will be benefitted to the extent of Bodo language. He has extended his heart full thanks to the authority of CSTT for taking such noble projects in the interest of developing the Bodo language as well as its 

Iiterature and hopeful of undertaking more project's by the CSTT in the days to come.
