Gogoi’s vote polarizing attempt!

BJP and AUIDF leaders refuse to buy Tarun Gogoi a day after the chief minister spoke of possible post poll alliance between BJP and AIUDF. Senior BJP and AIUDF leaders have slammed Gogoi alleging that it’s a blatant attempt to polarize votes in the pre poll landscape.
Talking to Assam Times, senior BJP leaders said that Gogoi was living in fools’ paradise if he really saw the possibility of any post poll patch up with AUIDF. “Simply it is an attempt to polarize vote hardly a year ahead of assembly polls. Is it possible? We have ideological difference with AIUDF which is why, the question of any poll patch up does not arise,” a senior BJP functionary refusing to be named.
AIUDF leaders are equally angry with the chief minister a day after his bizarre observation. “His observation suggests the absence of a healthy mind. We are dead opposed to a number of issues with BJP. It is a communal party which we do not endorse. We do not understand why Gogoi has been saying these,” he told Assam Times.
Another AIUDF leader said,” he perhaps has lost his mental balance. No healthy political leader can make this observation. The case of the unprecedented patch up in Jammu &Kashmir is different. Assam is not J&K. The things are different here.”
Notably, much to utter surprise Gogoi said on Monday that BJP and AIUDF are inching closer to each other for a post poll patch up in the lines of Jammu and Kashmir.
