Cricketers taking on ACA

Former Ranji cricketers staged a day log dharna in Guwahati on Sunday in protest against the crippling corruption in the Assam Cricket Association.
The cricketers thronged Dighalipukhuri in the morning before they started staging dharna demanding stern action against the cricket body officials who have been making money for the last couple of years.
Talking to reporters they said, ”We won’t allow this corruptionraj to continue in the cricket body. Let them face the music.”
Notably, two ACA officials namely Bikash Baruah and G Burahgohain are likely to be arrested at any time after police registered case against the duo for siphoning funds to the tune of crores of rupees meant for uplift of cricket.

Light to moderate rain fall is expected across the state till Tuesday if the weathermen is to be believed. According to monsoon forecast, light rain will continue over Guwahati and its adjacent areas for the next 4 to 5 days.
