Dissidence against Anjan Dutta!

Dissidence is resurfacing in Congress posing a serious threat to the party’s prospect for the assembly polls early next year.

Backed by a section of party legislators, a section of senior leaders is doing dissidence against statwe party president Anjan Dutta who is a close associate of chief minister Tarun Gogoi.

Senior leaders Hiranya Bora and Bolin Kuli are leading the dissidence to be backed by former cabinet minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma who is known who tried his best to unseat Tarun Gogoi as chief minister.

Party sources told Assam Times, he was Dr Sarma who has supported the senior party leaders to unseat both Gogoi and Dutta.

The dissident leaders sans Dr Sarma are contemplating to meet party high command. But none of the seniors has confidence to take the lead.

APCC sources said that it will not work as the entire circle of dissidents leaders and legislators are disappointed and frustrated.
