Assam bandh partial in BTAD

Normal life remained partially disrupted under the impact of the 12 hours Assam bandh called by BTAD Bengali Youth Students Federation and Assam Bengali Youth Students Federation on Wednesday alleging harassment to Hindu Bengalies in the name of steps to update NRC.
The bandh started from  5 in the morning where roads remained bare in some places in BTAD. Shops and markets and schools and colleges, banks and offices remained closed.
The students federation alleged that the government has been creating unleashing disturbances among the Hindu Bengalies in the name of updating the NRC.

Three people are believed to have been killed in the name of witch-hunting in Kokrajhar.The incident took place on Thursday in Mongoljhar where the three people including a woman have been remaining untraced for the last 48 hours.Acting on the complaints, police have picked up 11 villagers on Saturday morning.
