No let-up in flood fury

Flood situation refuses to improve on Tuesday following incessant rains in Arunachal Pradesh for the last couple of days.

The Brahmaputra and its tributaries are flowing above the danger mark in several places. The situation is likely to take a grim turn if the rain refuse to halt.

Some new areas in Barpeta, Sonitpur, Dhemaji, Bongaigaon, Lakhimpur, Darrang, Tinsukia, Nalbari and Goalpara districts have come under the surging waters leaving over 1 lakh people homeless.
