Rajkhowa’s clarion call

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Jyoti Prashad Rajkhowa on Sunday stressed age old bonhomie with Assam to end the interstate problems confronting both the states.

According to a Raj Bhawan communique, Rajkhowa on Sunday appealed to the people from both the states not be swayed by baseless rumours in the wake of the Bihali incident.

Rajkhowa condemned attacks on the Arunachalees and killing of Kolai Orang in the area. He further appealed to the media to exercise their restraint so that communal harmony and peace could be maintained and the law could take its own course.

The governor also volunteered to take up the matter with the Centre for any additional assistance, should the state chief minister so required, based on realistic assessment of law and order situation.
