Why trains cut short journey

A long march to Dispur by the agitating special police officers is believed to have forced the authorities to cut short the journey of two Guwahati-bound passenger trains on Sunday. 

The Lumding-Alipurduar train via Guwahati will cut short its journey at Hojai. 

On the other hand, the Lumding-Guwahati train has refused to proceed beyond Lanka.

According to allegations, the agitating police officers had booked many compartments of the two Guwahati bound trains on Sunday.     

The SPOs were waiting to board on the trains to arrive in Guwahati to register their protest alleging non receipt of due treatment from the governnment.
