Modi on visit to Dhaka

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two days tour to Dhaka on Saturday which is crucial for Assam and its neighbouring north eastern states.

Modi is scheduled to talk to Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina to break the impasse over the Indo-Bangla land deal apart from the extradition of Anup Chetia. 

Sources told Assam Times that both the crucial issued would figure on Saturday when the duo would meet in the evening.
"Modi is scheduled raise the land deal and extradition issue. The immigration is is unlikely to figure in the meeting. Modi thinks that the land deal would help them end the decade old issue," said a senior official with the ministry of external affairs.

Accompanied by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Modi left for Dhaka in the morning on Saturday.
On Monday Modi is scheduled to address the IIT-Guwahati convocation ceremony en route to New Delhi.
