Amid simmering protest for Indo-Bangla land swap deal Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi will accompany Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Dhaka slated for June 6.
Modi will require Gogoi’s support to finalise the implementation of the land deal between New Delhi and Dhaka. Sources told Assam Times that Modi will be flanked by Gogoi from Guwahati. Along with Gogoi, Prime Minister would be accompanied by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to Dhaka.
Modi who is scheduled to arrive in Guwahati on June 8 to be straightly left for IIT in North Guwahat where he will address the convocation ceremony.
