Teachers to protest

The Recognised(Venture) Upper and Lower Primary Teachers’ Association,Kokrajhar district nit has decided to launch agitation on and from June 1 next demanding early provincialisation of schools as teachers are deprived from government facilities across the state.

A special meeting of the association was held at Rup Nath Brahma ME school premises on Sunday in Kokrajhar and resolved to launch strong agitation against government seeking early provincialisation of schools who were dropped from enlisted by state government in 2013.

 The association slammed the state government for not taking provincialisation of schools said that government has been depriving the school as well teachers as junior schools are taking opportunities in the form of government discriminations.

There are still 1458 schools in Assam  are deprived from provincialisation since 2013,of which Lower Primary(1234) and Upper Primary(224) are lacking  from provincialistaion. In Kokrajhar district,272 are Lower Primary and 36 Upper Primary schools are recognised venture,but not provincialised till date due to insincerity from state govt itself while running the education system in the state.

Manik Chandra Nath,president of the Kokrajhar district unit of the association told that the concern department had announced all provincialisation norm and ways on internet,but government has not been implemented so far and making unnecessary harassement while executing the steps taken from concern department since 2013.

He has said that the association had requested the authority over and over to execute the declared internet circular,yet not any single step was initiated into the matter.The association has urgedthe government to execute provincialistaion of schools as declared in internet site.

He said that the association held its special executive meeting and decided to lauch strong agitation seeking early implementation of provincialisation of schools across the state as they had put their demands to the state govt from June 1 next.

He has also warned the government for responsible whatever happen unwanted incidents during agitation in the district.

Skill development training programme

3 NSLA held

Security apprehended have claimed to arrest three cadres of National Santhali Liberation Army(NSLA) anti-talk faction at Barabil under Gossaigaon police station in Kokrajhar today.  Getting a tiptop information about presence of the militant cadres in the area, a joint team of security forces belonging to army, police in the Barabil area under Gossaigaon police station and managed to arrest the militant cadres.  They were identified as Pinihas Baski, Budhiram Murmu and Dipak Hembrom.  Two pistol, one Revolver and live bullets were recovered from them.

BPF burns copies of vernacular newspaper

BPF, ruling party in BTAD burnt copies of the Asomiya Pratidin, a vernacular daily newspaper of Assam, in protest against reporting of news brought out in today's issue about rift in between BPF President Hagrama Mohilary and former minister and MLA Chandan Brahma. NDFB(S) neutralised: Bishnoi

IGP (BTAD) Dr LR Bishnoi has claimed that the strength of the NDFB(S) militant outfit has now being seeing neutralised following strong counter insurgency operation carried out by security forces in the area since after December 23(2014) carnage and operation would be continued. Kidnappers arrested
