Problems after problems seem to have put Congress party in trouble hardly a year before the upcoming polls.
A section of the APCC office bearers is quite unhappy with Anjan Dutta's new executive commitees.
"Dutta should not have sidelined the senior leaders. This treatment would not help the party win the polls. We are shocked to have seen it," a senior party leader told Assam Times.
Another leader deplored that the poll bound party needs fresh blood. But it need not disturb the senior potential leaders.
"Dutta's new committe consists of many leaders who have been positioned as general secretary. But his policy for not allowing the leaders to contest the next assembly polls is equally harmful. Why these winnable candidates need to be kept out? The party will have to pay heavy price of it in the polls early next year," said another leades.
