Kisan rally organised

Hundreds of kisan from various parts of the district participated in a rally in protest against land acquisition bill today in Kokrajhar. 

The ralliest with banner, placards shouted slogans demanding early stop of land acquisition bill tabled in the parliament.

The rally was organised by All India Kisan Sabha of Kokrajhar district committee, was started from Rajmela ground to DC office and submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through Deputy Commissioner. 

Santash Guha, leader of the sabha said that the rally was organised to protest land acquisition bill adopted by NDA govt at the centre, implement the forest land dwellers act,2006 for the greater interest of the society.

Three people are believed to have been killed in the name of witch-hunting in Kokrajhar.The incident took place on Thursday in Mongoljhar where the three people including a woman have been remaining untraced for the last 48 hours.Acting on the complaints, police have picked up 11 villagers on Saturday morning.
