Boxed by the circumstances, the BJP leadership are maintaining stoic silence allowing the Union leaders an ministers to speak out in support of the deal than runs into a hail of protest.
The Centre sent Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on Saturday who strongly advocated the deal saying that it would be instrumental to help both the countries resolve the perennial infiltration and border issues.
Rathore who talked to the media in the sidelight of a function to mark the nationwide launch of three social security schemes said, “the biggest problem is immigration. If the boundary is not demarcated, there cannot be fencing. Now that the international boundary has been defined, fencing work can be completed and infiltration will stop.”
