Both Congress and BJP seem to have been feeling the heat of the Indo-Bangladesh land deal to be raised in parliament soon for rectification.
Many parties and organizations across the state came to the streets on Tuesday and burnt the effigies of chief minister Tarun Gogoi, BJP president Amit Shah, state leaders Sarbananda Sonowal, Siddharth Bhattacharya alleging that they are going to surrender before Bangladesh even by shedding land.
BJP central leadership on Monday apprised state leadership of its helplessness to oppose the land swap deal which is set to be brought to Parliament in a day or two.
