Stop illegal collection: PCDR

The Peoples Coordination for Democratic Rights (PCDR), a conglomeration organisation of various communities has demanded eradication of illegal fund drive from inter state check gate along the Assam-West Bengal at Damra check gate,Srirampur in Kokrajhar district where some of the organisations are illegally collecting funds from every passing vehicles through the check gate since many years.

Prafulla Islary,president of Gossaigaon district PCDR in a press release said that Srirampur Damra check gate has been very prominent for years and many families are earning their livelihood.Unfortunately some pf the organisations are illegally collecting fund from every passing vehicles through the check gate.Prices are soaring up like rockets with passing day and peoples are struggling to meet even their basic necessities.The reason for price rise in BTC as well Assam,is because of of illegal heavy taxation of Rupees 600.00(Six hundred) per vehicle in or out moving truckers,he said.

He has questioning said that who are the mafias involved in such illegal collection here in inter state check gate? Does it come to common people or any developmental work?No,this system never bring development in BTC as well Assam.

‘The Gossaigaon dsitrict committee of PCDR strongly condemned such activities and request administration to find out the mafias and stop such illegal collection.So,if this problem is not solved within one month,the PCDR with supporters will come out on the raod to eradicate such illegal fund drive in democratic way’,Islary said.
