BPF wins 20 seats

The ruling BPF again steps to form the council winning 20 seats in the 40 member assembly. BPF president retained his Debargaon seat defeating PCDR candidate Buddodev Mushahary at a margin of around 3000. PCDR won 7 seats, AIUDF 3, BJP 1 and others 9. Mohilary said that BPF will form the council with support from independents.
