On the three days left to the BTAD polls scheduled on April 8, violence mars late last night ahead council election with miscreants vandalised and torched election joint office of PCDR at Halangbazar under Patgaon Police Outpost for Debargaon and Banargaon constituency in Kokrajhar district.
Party candidates from BPF and PCDR in the constituency are saw busy in allegation and counter after the incident and demanded stern step against situation that created resented among party activists and supporters.
The Halangbazar,an election office of joint constituency from Banargaon and Debargaon for PCDR candidates Rabiram Narzary and Buddodev Mushahary was vandalised and later torched by unidentified miscreants late last night around 11.30 pm.
PCDR candidates from both Banargaon Rabiram Narzary and Buddodev Mushahary from Debargaon seat visited the spot.
Buddodev Mushahary,PCDR candidate alleged that BPF was handi hand behind incident. He told that BPF supporters toirched the election office and damaged official materials.He said atht rival BPF party activists fearing defeat torched the office.He has demanded stern action against incident and punished involvement.
Meanwhile,BPF party has denied the allegation levelled by rival PCDR against party said that it was a conspiracy made from PCDR and some parties to blame ruling BPF.
Rajiv Brahma,BPF candidate from BPF for Banargaon constituency said that his party was not involved with office torched.He has denied accusation of involved with with election office torched at Halangbazar alleged that PCDR,some other parties have conspiracy to blame his party ahead election.He said that PCDR has fearing of defeat in the seat created such incident as his candidature is winning in large difference of votes in the election.
