Wild elephant dies

The death of a female elephant left the animal lovers no less shock in Guwahati on Sunday.

The incident took place in the army cantonment area in Narengi where the animal was believed to have died in electrocution. 

The carcass was spotted at Narangi Cantonment 222 Advance Base Ordnance Depot Area.

Forest officials arrived in the spot and buried the animal after on-the-spot post mortem.
