The opposition parties claimed to have seen nothing new in the state budget 2015-16.
Hours after Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi tabled the budget on the floor of the House on Tuesday, AGP leaders told Assam Times that there is nothing new in the budget.
“Gogoi is making lots of promises. But he is keeping mum on what he implemented so far. All the promises in the last year’s budget remain unimplemented,”AGP legislators told reporters.
Party general secretary Atul Bora said,” whatever Gogoi promises today are recycled. All these have not been implemented.”
Same disappointing note was heard from BJP camp. Talking to Assam Times, party MLAs rued that the budget is silent on the measures to ensure any relief for the poor people.
