Narrow escape for Chirang

Chirang district had a narrow escape from a powerful explosion when security forces defused Improvised Explosive Device on Sunday.

Police told Assam Times that Red Horns Division troops carried out thorough search on the Patiladaha-Panbari Road in the morning where IED weighing 15 KG were found under a culvert to be defused later. 

NDFB’s hand suspected here where the Bodo militant outfit has been active even after many militants were arrested after the Adivasi carnage.
