Gogoi slams Centre on flood fund

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Wednesday accused the Centre of downplaying the miseries of the flood hit people.

Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Wednesday, Gogoi said that the Centre has not released no fund to mitigate the miseries of the flood hit people even four months have passed since his government submitted the proposals.

“The inter-ministerial team visited the flood-hit areas only this month. Where will they get flood now? It does make sense that the Centre is not at all serious about the problem in Assam," said Gogoi.
