TET stages dharna

BTAD contractual TET qualified (elementary) teacher's association stages dharna at Rajmela ground on Saturday demanding regularisation the post  of TET qualified teachers, provide salary as per ROB-2010. The teachers displayed  banners, placards, shouted slogans. The techers demanded immediate functioning of the advertisement published in Assam Tribune newspaper on February 5 in 2014 vide adv no. DE/BTC/Apptt-165/A/2013/145,3rd Feb, 2014 Against 2125 posts for the TET qualified candidates, introduce new pension scheme to the qualified teachers, transferring the TET qualified teachers in their proper ground, release the salaries on schedule time, legal enquer for appointing 1438 now. of elementary teachers of 2005-06, proper implementation of RTE Act 2009. 

The protesters later submited a memorandum to director of education of BTC seeking early solutions of TET teacher's problems in the region.

KLO leader killed in Kokrajhar

A self styled deputy commander in chief of Kamatapur Liberation Organization (KLO) was killed in an encounter with security forces at Shiljan area in Kokrajhar district today. Army distributes study materials

Army unit from Red Horns Division in association with Kokrajhar civil administration distributed furniture, school bag,study materials and sports items among students of Jharbari ME school on Wednesday at Jharbari in Kokrajhar district.  The distribution was a noble endeavour to encourage students while promoting education and sports amongst youths in the region.
