Health check-up camp concludes in press club

Most of the city based journalists are facing different ailments like diabetes, hyper tension, skin problem, various joint pains etc, which was reflected in a daylong health check-up camp organized by down town hospital in Guwahati Press Club on Thursday. Organized on the occasion of 26th anniversary of the city based private hospital, the general health camp was attended by over 120 journalists and their close family members. Physicians from various departments like General Medicine (Dr Swapnav Borthakur, Dr Nitin Naharkar), Cardiology (Dr Dipannita Mahanta), Diabetology (Dr Rupam Das), ENT (Dr Dhruba Jyoti Dutta, Dr Srikanth Medam),Gynecology (Dr Monti Saha), Pediatrics (Dr Kahkasa Rahman Choudhury), HPB & Liver Transplant (Dr Dibya Jyoti Bora), Dermatology (Dr Saradi Sreemoyee) with physiotherapist Dr Arindam Deb, dietician Ms Tinababy Baruah provide necessary consultations to the participants. Dr NN Dutta, chairman & managing director of down town hospital with his senior colleagues Dr Udayan Barua and Mayurakshi Dutta graced the occasion. Talking to the reports, Dr Dutta, who instituted the popular hospital in northeast India, announced to continue the mission to aware the common people about various heath care opportunities in the country.

First and only private hospital to be endorsed by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers, the down town hospital was earlier recognized by ISO certification and the recognition continues till date.

Nursing support in the camp was extended by Balasukshisha Marbaniang, Badashisha Dkhar, Idashisha Kharmalki, Lourembam Joymoti Devi, Larikmen Sohlang, Miracle Riahtam, Hemaprova Borah, Junmoni Baglary, Winterly Malngiang, Dadeishisha Wahlang, Aquino Syiemlieh, Barbiecca Kurbah Khun Syiem, Gracemary Lawai, Liangngiahlun and Judythy Lalchawimawi.

Moreover other medical support was provided by Ph. Lalthawmmawia, Sagar Mahali, Pranab Kalita, Pabitra Bharali, Sonmani Sarma, Anupam Thakuria, Rekibul Rahman with Nikhilesh Sarma, Pulakesh Gogoi, Sajal Sinha and Mayuri Borah.
