Amid a massive security bandobast on the occasion of the 66th Republic Day ,Chief minister Tarun Gogoi unfurled the national triculour and took salute of the army, police para military forces and NCC at the Veterinary Playground in Khanapara on Monday.

In his address, Gogoi said that his government would leave no stone unturned to help the state develop on all fronts.

The focus of the function was the glimpse of cultural show that turned the field in to a mini Assam where the rich culture of the various tribes and communities were showcased.

Thousands of people thronged the place get a glimpse of the centrally sponsored the Republic Day well before ahead of the beginning of the function. Gogoi further gave away policd medals to the senior police officers.
