Chief minister Tarun Gogoi finally reshuffled his cabinet on Friday. But the major reshuffle has raised the eyebrows of the Guwahati denizens who have no representation in the council of ministers.
Guwahati had two ministers when Gogoi became the chief minister for the third consecutive term. Health and education minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma resigned last year refusing to work with Gogoi as chief minister.
Three days back social welfare minister Akon Bora was asked to resigned just before reshuffling the cabinet. Capt Robin Bordoloi, Hemanta Talukdar failed to get the berth.
This is for the first time Guwahati is left without a representative in the council of ministers.
