Former ISO chairman at MVM Mangaldai

The birth anniversary of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi was celebrated at MVM Mangaldai recently on January 12 with gaiety. The day was celebrated along with annual school day.Several distinguished people attended the ceremony including USA based scientists and son of Darrang Dr.Atul Sarma.Speaking as the guest of honour of the day, the former ISO (International Standard Organization ) chirman Dr.Sarma recalled his past days here in Assam when he had been working as a chemistry teacher in Cotton college Guwahati fifty years back. According to him scientists are not really big or different people but like a good student. He said that the present day world is full of unrest and never looked good.”Humanity have been changing very fast and its a genetic change. We never know what would happen after five thousand years later “. Saying so he advised all to be a good messenger of mankind.

Paban Sarma Vice president of Sogeti of USA also attended the celebration as the chief guest.In his speech he remarked that Indian education system is bookish while in USA education has been practical. He advised the students to be honest,loyal.discplined and a better human. A minor girl dead and dozen others fell ill after they consumed prasad served at a religious function in Udalguri district on Friday. The tragic incident took place in Kalaigaon area where a ten year old girl died early in the morning. At least 71 others have complained of stomach ace and vomitting hours after they consumed prasad. The deceased was identified as Dipsikha Nath who died at the Mangaldai Civil Hospital. Talking to media, ADC DN Hazariaka said that the incident took place hours after they consumed prasad at the house of Harakanta Nath on Wednesday.
