Normal life stands totally paralyzed in Dima Hasao district following a three days bandh in the hill district on Friday.
Called by the Halali Progressive Welfare Society, an organization of the former DHD militants, the bandh began at 5 in the morning to be ended at 5 in the afternnoon on January 18.
Schools and colleges, shops and markets, banks and offices remained closed under the impact of the bandh which is free of any untoward incident so far.
The former militants called the bandh in protest against the killing of its member and DHD's former general secretary Rajesh Naiding. They further demand immediate arrest of the killers apart from a CBI probe into the incident.
