Seratun Nabbi in Nazira

Well known socio-Cultural organisation M.C. Club organised two days Seratun Nabbi programme in Nazira on Saturday and Sunday.

It was organized on the occasion of the Fathea E Duwas Daham- the birth anniversary of the Peophet Mohammed the Seratun Nabbi where life and noble works of the Prophet Mohammed was discussed.

Competitions of different Islamic rituals were organized on the occasion. Eminent Scholar Dr.Debobrate Sarmah said that Islam means peace. He said thousands of Assamese Muslims joined the Freedom struggle.

According to him, Islam is the greatest enemy of the capitalist clique and that an international propaganda is being spread against Islam

Nazira Municipality Ex Chairman Abdur Rohman, Vice President of Nazira Journalist Association Bhaskarjyoti Borgohain were prominent among those who were present in the programme.

Krisok Sobha in Nazira

The Nazira unit of All India Krishok Sobha observed its foundation day with a day long programme  at Natiya Mandir on Tuesday.The organization took out a long procession in the town to mark the occasion to be marked by a public meeting the at Nazira Natiya Mandir where Left veterans Durpod Borgohain Kanok Gogoi were also present along with other dignatories. Thousands of people came out of their houses in Nazira to join the NRC awareness campaign on Saturday. Organized by Nazira AASU unit, the awareness rally got overwhelming response from all sections of the society. Over thousands of AASU activists took part in the rally who appealed to the people to submit their NRC form as soon as possible. ONGC hospital in Dec

ONGC will start its state-of-the-art hospital in Rajabari in December this year.This was what AASU told reporters in Nazira after a meeting with the oil major officials on Thursday.ONGC officials further agreed to implement other promises in the meeting with AASU leaders in Jorhat. The satisfied AASU leaders called off the 100 hour recent strike. HR director DD Mishra, Alok Mishra, VK Barma and executive director of the Assam Asset Budhin Deuri,  Ex.central secretary of AASU Tapan Gogoi, district president Manik Gogoi and district secretary Guvin Phukon attended the meeting.

Rijit Konwar of Nazira Higher Secondary & Mulit Purpose School secored 10th position in the HSLC examination 2015. He   got totel  587 marks. NRC in Nazira and Sivasagar

Though several organizations are voicing their opinion on the process of NRC, the Government of Assam is all up to complete the task of updation. In Nazira rural some 50 per cent people are not aware of the NRC updation. The indigenous communities have kept away from collecting NRC data from available sources on the pretext that they are indigenous. They perceive it as a matter of insult to their native origin and ego.Similar is the condition of the indigenous populations of the district of Sibsagar.
