Verghese is no more, cremation today

B G Verghese is no more. The award winning author and veteran journalist died at his own residence in Gurgaon on Tuesday evening. He was 87.

The relentless crusader for the underprivileged is a famous figure for Assam. He is known for his immense contribution for the entire north eastern region.

Various organizations and individuals have condoled his death in Assam. His body would be cremated at the Lodi Road Crematorium on Thursday.
